ECO Window Systems Shingle, Tile & Metal Roofing in Westchester: What to Know First

We’re an independent ECO Window Systems service provider in Westchester, and we handle shingle, tile, and metal roofing jobs tied to these products. Most repair calls get a same-day diagnosis and a written line-item quote before we touch anything, with most jobs completed inside of two days once parts are in hand. You’ll never get a change order on a Winslow job, and every roof we install or repair carries the Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, Ed Winslow makes it right. If you own ECO Window Systems products in Westchester and the roof above them is failing, call (850) 721-1218. This page is for people who want the truth about what their roof actually needs, not what a commission-driven salesperson wants to sell them.

How ECO Window Systems Products Fail - and How We Fix Them

ECO Window Systems builds a solid product, but no window or door survives a bad roof installation above it. After years of working on Westchester homes, we see the same failure patterns repeat themselves. Here’s what actually happens:

  • Leak migration through the ECO 5800 Series framing. The 5800 series single-hung and casement windows are popular in Westchester ranch homes, and their frames are well-sealed. The problem is rarely the window itself. When a shingle roof above a 5800 unit fails at the eave, water travels along the fascia and wicks into the window rough opening. By the time the homeowner sees a stain on the interior drywall, the flashing tape has been saturated for months. We pull the affected shingles, replace the peel-and-stick membrane, and re-flash the window-to-roof junction properly. The window usually doesn’t need replacement, just a dry opening.
  • Tile roof weight transfer crushing top flanges on ECO fixed picture windows. Westchester has a lot of original barrel tile roofs from the 1960s and 70s. When a tile breaks near a window wall and rainwater pools at the head flashing, the weight of saturated underlayment presses down on the frame. On ECO fixed picture units, the top flange is aluminum and will deflect under that load, breaking the seal. Owners mistake this for a window defect. It’s a roofing deflection problem. We replace the broken tile, swap the compressed head flashing, and check the frame for square before re-bedding everything.
  • Metal roof condensation dripping onto ECO sliding glass door tracks. Standing-seam metal roofs are fantastic in South Florida heat, but improperly vented roof cavities collect humidity at night. That condensation runs down to the lowest point, which on many Westchester layouts is directly above a patio slider. ECO sliding glass door tracks are designed to shed exterior water, not interior condensation. The fix is correcting the roof ventilation, not replacing the door. We add ridge and soffit vents in the right ratio, and the dripping stops within a week.
  • Shingle granule wash clogging ECO window weep holes. This one’s subtle. Asphalt shingles lose granules every time a Westchester downpour hits. Those granules wash down the wall and clog the small weep holes at the bottom of ECO window tracks, particularly on the marine-grade coastal models. Trapped water then overflows the interior track. Most companies will replace the window. We clean the weep system, verify the roof’s granule loss is normal aging rather than defective shingles, and show the homeowner where the problem actually started.
  • Flashing failures where tile roofs meet ECO Window Systems mullions. Multi-unit ECO mullion assemblies on wide window openings need precise flashing step-ups where the roof line meets the window head. Roofers who aren’t familiar with ECO frame dimensions will cut the step flashing too short, leaving a quarter-inch gap that leaks during wind-driven rain. We see this on at least one in five Westchester tile roof replacements. The fix is cutting new step flashing to the exact ECO frame depth and lapping each piece at least four inches.

Our ECO Window Systems Shingle, Tile & Metal Roofing Process

Every job starts with a phone call to (850) 721-1218, where a live person answers, day or night. Here’s how it goes from there:

  1. 1
We show up and look. A background-checked, uniformed technician arrives at your Westchester home, walks the roof line, and photographs everything relevant to the ECO Window Systems product below it. No charge for the trip inside our home county.
  2. 2
We identify the exact failure point. We trace water stains, pulled flashing, cracked tile, or thermal movement back to its source. If it’s a roof problem causing window symptoms, we say so and show you the evidence.
  3. 3
We price it in writing. You get a line-item quote with every material, every labor hour, and every permit fee listed separately. If a second company gave you a written estimate, we’ll review it free.
  4. 4
We do the work without surprises. The price we quote is the price you pay. No change orders unless you ask for additional scope, and even then you approve the number before we touch it.
  5. 5
We test before we leave. We run water over the repaired area, check the ECO Window Systems product for alignment and operation, and confirm drainage is flowing where it should.
  6. 6
We stand behind it. The Done Right Promise applies to every roof repair and installation we do. If something’s not right, Ed Winslow comes back and makes it right. Period.

What ECO Window Systems Shingle, Tile & Metal Roofing Costs in Westchester

Here are the real numbers for Westchester homes, based on what we’ve quoted and billed over the last several years:

  • Small shingle repair at an ECO Window Systems wall junction: $350-$750
  • Tile roof repair with window head flashing replacement: $600-$1,200
  • Full flashing retrofit where a tile roof meets ECO mullions: $900-$1,800
  • Standing-seam metal roof ventilation correction above an ECO slider: $1,500-$2,800
  • Partial shingle re-roof with new drip edge and window flashing: $4,500-$9,500

What moves the price: roof pitch, number of pipe penetrations, whether the existing underlayment is salvageable, and how much of the ECO Window Systems flashing has to be pulled and reset. We don’t upcharge for the brand name, and we don’t pad hours. Call (850) 721-1218 for a free estimate with exact numbers for your roof. Seniors and veterans get 10% off, permanently.

Why Westchester Homeowners Call Winslow Windows & Doors for ECO Window Systems Work

Ed Winslow grew up in Westchester, a few minutes from Tropical Park, and never left. He learned building science at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, and he’s spent the better part of two decades measuring, installing, and standing behind windows, doors, and roofs for his neighbors. My name is on the truck. That means I stand behind every window and door we touch, and every roof that protects them. We’re also an authorized installer for PGT, CGI, CWS, and ES Windows, so if the roofing fix reveals a window or door that’s beyond saving, we can replace it with product we actually know, not something a supply house happened to have in stock. One call, one crew, one owner accountable for the whole exterior. The one down the road.

What Neighbors Say About Winslow Windows & Doors

★★★★★

"Our insurance agent asked for the wind mitigation paperwork and Ed had the whole file ready the day the job closed, every opening photographed. The premium conversation went very differently this year."

OOdessa Fairbanks
★★★★★

"Three big companies quoted us and every one sent a salesman with a leased truck. Ed turned up in a truck with his own name on the door, quoted less, and his crew were the same faces on day one and day nine."

YYolanda Betancourt
★★★★★

"We sat out a hurricane behind the windows Ed put in. The gusts threw a neighbour's trampoline down the street and the loudest thing in our house was the kettle. I rang him after to say thank you and he answered his own phone, same as always."

TThaddeus Okonkwo
★★★★★

"He replaced the front door and the garage door in the same week, both rated for impact, and lined the frames up so straight my level had nothing to say. My wife stopped hearing the highway from the front room."
