• Sliding door locks and multi-point hardware on 7700 series: latch misalignment. The two-point lock on the 7700 takes abuse. Slamming the door, kids hanging on the handle, seasonal frame movement, all of it knocks the latch out of alignment. The door locks, but only if you lift and shove. We realign the keepers and, when the lock body is worn, replace it with the OEM part so the key still matches.
• Track buildup from Westchester’s fine limestone dust and construction grit. Westchester sits on Miami oolite, fine white limestone that finds its way into every door track. Combined with pet hair and the occasional ant colony, it packs into the track channels and the wheels grind through it.
